This foot is designed for both blind hems (Red guide on the left) and overcasting edges (Red guide on the right).
The Blindhem Foot is perfect for sewing invisible hems. Use it to sew the elastic blindhem for an optional finish and you won‘t need additional finishing on the hem edge. Sewing by hand is no longer necessary.

How to utilise:
- Snap on the Blindhem Foot.
- Mark and press the fold as it will be finished.
- Unfold the hem again so that hem edge protrudes by about 1 cm. Do not press this second fold, as it may put in an unwanted permanent crease.
- Position fabric so red edge guide runs along edge of folded hem with the raw edge ending further to the right.
- On a scrap of the same or similar fabric, use the needle position and the guide adjuster to regulate the penetration of the needle in the very edge of the crease.
TIP: If the stitch punctures are visible on the right side of the project, adjust the red guide slightly using the screw on the right side of the foot.
*Note: if your machine is equipped to work with this foot, it should have been included in the box. Only purchase this presser foot if you have mislaid the original. This foot is standard with almost all PFAFF machines, so check out your accessory bag before getting a possible double up.
