Who are you?
Please go to the Our Expertise Page for details.
Where are you?
Please go to the Contact Us page. There's even a map!
What sewing machine should I buy?
We have a whole page called What machine should you get? written up, that should help you make this decision. If that is not helpful enough, you can always call or email us from the Contact Us page.
I have a machine but I'm scared of it. What should I do?
Perhaps read the Sewing Tips, Machine Care & Machine Safety. If you still feel out of your depth, you can book a machine class on a Thursday or Friday. Follow the Contact Us page to email or call to make a booking. *Please Note* this is not a sewing lesson, this is a "how the machine works" lesson. For sewing lessons local to our store, please go to Wyndham Community & Education page and click on the "Study & Life" Tab to see what is available.
My machine is not performing. Can I fix it?
We've written a guide to Troubleshooting your machine and Troubleshooting your overlocker to see if it's an easy fix. Try these methods to fix any problems and see what happens.
I can't work out what's wrong. Can you fix it?
Also a distinct possibility. Please go to How servicing works and find out how we do servicing and what your role is. If you know how it works you can pre-book your machine here.
I'm looking for a part that doesn't seem to be here. Help?
If you have looked through the entire site and used the search function and the thing you need isn't here (we have by no means got everything), we may still be able to source something for you here.
Do the machines you sell have warranties?
Yes! There is a standard limited warranty for all machines we sell. If there is anything amiss please talk to us straight away. To apply for the extended warranties, each company has an online form you can fill out as soon as you have purchased your machine, at no extra cost. If you give us permission, we can fill this out for you or if you prefer, further details can be found here.
Do you take trade in machines?
We do not, for various reasons:
- We can't give you the same value for your machine as you might get in a private sale (gumtree, marketplace, eBay etc.)
- We then can't give decent warranties on any used machine we would sell.
- We sell new machines with decent warranties from the manufacturer.
- We don't have a secondhand dealers license to be able to pass those machines on to others.
What happens to machines that are no longer repairable?
If machines booked in for servicing are no longer repairable, we do strip them and recycle the metals and parts as efficiently as possible. We take all possible care that machines do not end up in landfill.
